There’s something of a story behind what you see here. On receiving approval of my design, I laid out a sample chapter and went through a number of rounds of revisions. However, at that point the author decided she wanted a different look (which I worked on for several iterations), and, eventually, felt she wanted to be immediately involved in the design process. As the logistics proved to be unworkable for the two of us, we decided to part ways. You can see the design that was ultimately reached on Amazon, but I really liked the design that was first arrived at, and it is from that that I’ve taken the spreads above.
